Matteo Valenti was born in Sicily, moved to Milan when still very young and there revealed his long-term interest in the artistic working of noble metals.

At 20, he began working for Master Enrico de Girardi, learning the special art of working wrought iron into beautiful creations, and soon became the Master’s right-hand man.

His special talent for the conception & creation of large-scale, custom made, elegant light fixtures has enabled him to extend the reputation of MM Lampadari into the Arab world.

Since 1991, he has been a bonafide team member, and continues to create lighting of undisputed taste.
